Papers selected [2009-04-22]
Review has been finished and 12 papers were accepted.
Submission and Style PDF Print E-mail

Workshop submission will be electronic, in pdf format only. Submitted papers must not exceed 12 pages and should conform to Springer LNCS style (see below). At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the workshop and present the contribution in order to be published in the workshop proceedings.

Those wishing to participate providing a live system demonstration should submit a proposal (1-2 pages). Those wishing to participate without paper or demo submission should submit a brief synopsis of their relevant work or at least a brief statement of interest. Demo and participation proposals should be submitted by April 17, 2009.

Submission system

Paper submission will be handled using EasyChair. Electronic submission is closed .

Formatting

Authors are strongly encouraged to use LaTeX and the Springer llncs class files available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html instead of the Word template.

While the pages in the final camera-ready form of a paper must be unnumbered (this is the default in llncs style), numbered pages are preferred for reviewing. Page numbering can be turned on using the LaTeX command \pagestyle{plain}. Do not hesitate to contact the workshop chairs for further information: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Workshop proceedings

All accepted papers will be published as IJCAI workshop notes as well as electronically at http://CEUR-WS.org. The organising committee is considering editing a special issue of an appropriate international journal (e.g., Kluwer’s Knowledge-based Systems, Elsevier’s Expert Systems with Applications, or Springer’s Information System Frontiers) depending on the number and quality of the submissions.

Review process

Three members of the program committee will review each submission. A review form will direct reviewers to evaluate submissions for appropriateness, technical strength, originality, presentation, and overall evaluation, as well as recording the reviewer’s confidence in the topic. Each category will be rated on a scale from 1 to 5. Furthermore, we will emphasise that reviewers must provide constructive notes and remarks to help contributors to improve their current and future submissions. The committee will be asked to give extensive comments. The number of accepted papers will depend on the number of suitable submissions. To assure sufficient discussion time, at most 12 contributions will be accepted for oral presentation, with additional poster acceptances possible.
